What we collect
When you sign up on this page we collect:
- your email address
- the date and time you joined, the page you joined from, and the basic technical details your browser sends, such as your IP address
- whether you open our emails and which links you click, so we know what is useful
We do not ask for anything else, and we never ask about your health.
Why we use it
We use your email address to tell you when Hedgelore opens, and after that to send seasonal picks, plant stories and the occasional offer. We only do this because you have asked us to, so the legal basis is your consent.
Who helps us
We never sell your information. A small number of companies handle it for us, under contract, and only to run our emails and this website:
- Klaviyo, which stores our mailing list and sends our emails. Klaviyo may hold data in the United States, protected by the UK–US data bridge and standard contractual safeguards.
- Our website host, which runs this page and keeps a copy of each sign-up until it is added to our mailing list.
- Our digital agency, which builds and manages this page and our mailing list on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a short record that you have unsubscribed, so we never email you again by mistake.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing hello@hedgelore.co.uk.
You can also ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will reply within one month.
